Electronic waste is described as computers, cell phones, CPU monitors, printers, keyboards, laptops, zip drives, scanners, modems and mouse devices. Disposal is free and items may be brought to the garage Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This program is for Rhode Island residents only.

We Need YOUR help with Recycling
Yard
Waste – FALL 2009 Yard Waste. The fall yard waste pickup will
begin on Monday, October 19th and end on December 11th. Residents shall be
permitted to set out yard waste in no more than 8, thirty gallon bio-degradable
paper bags or bundles no longer than 4 feet and weighing no more than 35 pounds
to the curbside for collection. Yard waste will be picked up on your regular
trash pickup day. Brown bags are available for purchase at various local
merchants. Definition of “yard waste” is vegetation, grass, leaves, weeds, etc.
No stones or dirt!
During other months it is requested that yard waste be place in plastic bags. A MAXIMUM of 5 total (regular trash + yard waste) bags will be picked up.
CHIPPING AND BRUSH REMOVAL- Due to State budget cuts town service for chipping and brush removal is temporarily no longer available. The Town will be developing a fee structured plan for chipping services which will be initiated in spring, 2010. Until that time we recommend that residents contract privately for this service. Consult your local newspaper, the Valley Breeze or the Yellow Pages for companies that provide this service. Residential chippers may also be purchased at home improvement centers.
